Melanesiatimes.com – After attending the Istigasah and Joint Prayer of Rabithah Melayu-Banjar, President Joko Widodo held a meeting with a number of religious and traditional leaders at Wisma Tamu, Pendopo Bersinar Tabalong Complex, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan Province, on Friday, March 17, 2023. During the meeting, President Jokowi said that the government highly appreciates the various efforts that have been made by all parties in developing the Indonesian state.
“I really appreciate the efforts that have been made by South Kalimantan, by Tabalong Regency, and also our cooperation with all central, provincial, and regional governments and also scholars in order to fix what is not good, fix what is not good,” said the President.
The President reminded that Indonesia is a large country consisting of 17 thousand islands with a geographical location that is not easy so it needs hard work and cooperation from all parties in its management. Although it is not easy, the President believes that Indonesia will succeed in becoming a great country if supported by all parties.
“It is not easy, but I believe God willing, both now and future leaders if supported by religious scholars with the support of prayers and encouragement from the community, I believe this country will become a great country, both economically and others,” said the President.
Also accompanying the President in this meeting were Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor, and Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani.
